1v1 Puck Race to 2v1
Two players race for the puck. The winner attacks with a low-to-high pass; the loser defends the 2v1.

Coaching points
- Race: first three strides hard, and win body position on the puck.
- Winner: protect the puck on the wall, then look up for the low-to-high pass.
- High player: be ready, stick on the ice, and attack the net after the catch.
- Loser: recover fast and defend the 2v1. Take away the pass and let the goalie have the shooter.
- Attackers: drive the net for rebounds.
How it runs
- Two players start side by side near the net. A high player waits at the top of the circle by a cone. The coach has pucks behind the net.
- The coach rims a puck into the corner and both players race for it.
- The winner retrieves the puck and carries up the wall.
- The winner passes low-to-high to the high player.
- The high player attacks and shoots while the winner drives the net. The loser defends the 2v1. Play it out, then the next pair goes.
